Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Thirty Spines ("we", "us") is a daily confidence app available at thirtyspines.com and as an Android app. This policy explains what information is used, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Information stored on your device
Your progress (streak, XP, levels, check-in scores, missions and any notes you write) is saved only in your browser or app storage on your own device. We do not receive or store it on our servers. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app deletes it.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you choose "Accept all" or turn on Analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the app is used, for example how many people visit and which screens are popular. This uses cookies or similar identifiers and sends usage data to Google. We do not send your name, notes or answers. If you decline, analytics cookies are not set.
Adverts
Some versions of the app show adverts to keep it free:
- Android app: Google AdMob shows occasional full-screen adverts after a lesson (never during one) and optional videos you can choose to watch for a reward.
- Website: optional reward videos may be shown through Google Ad Manager.
Ad providers may use device identifiers and cookies to show and measure adverts. If you are in the UK or EEA, you will be asked for consent before personalised adverts are shown. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised adverts. Learn how Google uses information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Notifications
If you turn on daily reminders, your device shows a local reminder. No contact details are collected.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent for analytics and personalised adverts, and on our legitimate interest in providing a working app for essential storage on your device.
Your rights and choices
- Change your cookie choices at any time in the app: Progress tab, then Cookie settings.
- Delete your progress with "Reset all progress" in the app or by clearing site data.
- Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Thirty Spines is intended for people aged 16 and over.
Wellbeing note
Thirty Spines offers general self-improvement content. It is not medical or psychological treatment. If you are struggling, please speak to your GP or contact NHS 111. In an emergency call 999.
